About the Assignment

We are looking for an experienced warehouse technician for Värtaverket for an assignment within production operations. The role combines warehouse and storage work with strategic and operational purchasing, supplier contacts, and material supply.

You will be an important part of the operation and responsible for ensuring effective inventory management, availability of spare parts, as well as cost-effective and sustainable purchases.

Responsibilities

As a warehouse technician, your tasks will include:

• Goods reception and delivery
• Forklift driving
• Issuing and delivering spare parts and materials
• Purchasing spare parts and materials
• Supplier contacts and request for quotes
• Ongoing inventory of stock and supplies
• Balance and item management in the maintenance system IFS

• Cost and delivery condition optimization
• Development of supplier relationships and negotiation strategies
• Ensuring supplier quality and risk management
• Inventory management and material supply according to business needs
• Sustainability focus when selecting suppliers and materials
• Continuous market analysis to identify savings opportunities
• Compliance with internal guidelines and policies for purchasing and supplier management

Mandatory Requirements

• Forklift license A and B
• B driver's license or AM qualification
• Good computer skills, especially experience working in IFS
• Experience in strategic and operational purchasing
• Experience in supplier negotiations, including international suppliers
• Experience leading and driving purchasing projects from start to finish
• Experience in purchasing within production or industrial operations
• Knowledge of inventory optimization and needs planning
• Experience in cost-saving initiatives and supplier development
